Bistro Bar Marina is one of the most sought-after establishments in Slovakia. It is especially famous for its hamburgers, which are sought after by customers from abroad. And no wonder – the burgers are homemade, their recipe is fine-tuned to the last detail and thanks to that they enjoy high popularity.
Like other gastronomic establishments, Bistro Bar Marina prides itself on order. And not only on the order related to the operation of the bistro, but on the order in general. And as catering services were added to one branch, Tabidoo soon became a system that “took the thorn out of the side” and brought order to the business.
Prior to the advent of Tabidoo, Bistro Bar Marina used various software to make the internal workings of the business easier and more efficient. Instead, however, they proved to be overly complicated and certainly did not meet what was required and needed from them.
Mr Smržík, the owner of the restaurant, had his requirements well defined. He wished that the new system would not contain too much uselessness, have ready-made software/applications, and at the same time that the system would be able to adapt to the growth of the company and keep evolving based on the requirements. After all, with a thriving business, more and more records are needed to keep it on a rising tide and not sink into the depths of the sea.
When Mr. Smržík searched the internet for something that would meet his requirements, he found that there was no such thing invented specifically for the catering industry. However, he came across ** Tabidoo** which he could set up himself from the beginning and thus be in control of things as he wanted. At first, he had the assumption in his head that it was a foreign platform, and the fact that it was a Czech affair only shortened the decision-making process.

The result was the use of Tabidoo not only in terms of keeping track of company flows (Bistro Bar Marina wanted to control mainly finances or income and expenses, which the application in Tabidoo fulfilled to a tee), but also the ordering system, thanks to which they know exactly what the customer orders or how often. And this significantly improves the overall relationship with the customers.
“Bistro Bar Marina now not only has an overview of its customers, but also of its costs. We compare how costs are increasing compared to profits, and not only that, “ adds Andrej Smržík, the owner of the business, who also notes that Tabidoo is currently creating an invoicing system to simplify cooperation with the accountant or the registration of gift vouchers to make the process of issuing and applying them a little more efficient and faster.
