How do we give people what they are comfortable working in? How do you put data in one place, synchronize it? And how do you do it in a way that's acceptable on a price/performance basis? These are exactly the questions that Direct Auto was asking themselves. And then Tabidoo – the love of a lifetime for the company – came into play.

For me the best feedback is that people want to work at Tabidoo. We see a growing demand for new applications and user satisfaction. Tabidoo has become part of our daily work and Direct car helps us to fulfill our motto: Simply. For pleasure.
Matyáš Theuer, IT Support Manager at Direct auto
Direct Auto is part of the Direct Group and operates a network of sales and service outlets for new and used cars and also offers its own flexible operating lease under the Birne brand. The company’s rapid growth, the integration of multiple dealerships and the focus on a simple customer experience demanded a corresponding digital solution. Since its inception, Direct Auto has been guided by a simple philosophy: to make the daily interaction with cars and technology more enjoyable for customers and internal Direct Auto team members. In the spirit of “Simply. For pleasure.” Tabidoo n_1_2 # Challenge: unify data and tools across branches Direct auto was created through the acquisition of several dealerships and is building a new model that combines new and used car sales with a fair, human approach. However, the different default IT environments of each location complicated data management and operational processes. “Each brand, each dealer had its own system. We needed a single digital space – a place where all the data was together and where people were comfortable working,” says Martin Jureček, who covers IT architecture and development at Direct auto.
There are a number of robust specialist tools on the market that cover almost every agenda, but none of them is perfect. Users often work with several different systems, using only a fraction of their features. After analyzing the available options, the choice fell on Tabidoo. The reason was unambiguous – the platform allows rapid development of customized applications, working with custom data while maintaining simplicity, which makes it easy to use for non-technical users. “At Tabidoo we especially appreciate the speed with which we can launch new applications – thanks to pre-made templates we often have a working solution with our data within a few hours. At the same time, we are not afraid to create more complex functionalities tailored to our needs from scratch – and it’s still significantly faster than if we went the pure programming route “, adds Martin Jureček.
Today, Direct car runs almost dozen applications built on Tabidoo. They cover a wide range of agendas – from internal record keeping and process control and planning to supporting sales teams across branches and verticals. This has created a coherent ecosystem with reusable functional blocks (connection to systems, user management, dials…) that naturally involves other teams and organically evolves according to the needs of the company. “Tabidoo is the right mix – intuitive user interface, technical readiness, flexibility and, above all, a pricing model that doesn’t scale with each new user. When you need to involve more people who only use the system occasionally, it is a huge advantage,” evaluates Matyáš Theuer, IT Direct auto supporter.
Tabidoo has helped Direct auto to unify systems, speed up internal development and make the technology available directly to people in the field. Users are not afraid to create their own applications and actively come up with new ideas – the platform is seen as a tool that makes work easier and more enjoyable.
