Nineties aren’t worn. Mayors and Independents have switched to Tabidoo

Willingness to adapt – that wins today. And a system that looks like it's from the 90s, that's out. Moreover, when it lacks API connectivity, that's the final straw that pushed STAN to choose a new tool that will allow them to communicate better with each other, to gain more insight and control. So, thanks to our partner Chorizo Lab, they are moving to Tabidoo – a dynamic platform that is growing with every company (and political movement).

Nineties aren’t worn. Mayors and Independents have switched to Tabidoo

We are glad that STAN does not have processes on salami, because having processes on salami is not cool.

Petr Kříž, co-founder of Chorizo Lab

Please meet us!

Mayors and Independents (STAN) is a Czech centre to centre-right liberal political movement. It has representatives not only in a number of local councils, but also in the European Parliament, the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies. It emerged from the daily work of mayors in villages, towns and regions and their programme is based on common problems that people deal with today and every day.

Having processes on salami is not cool – that’s the motto of Chorizo Lab, a company that aims to take business to the next level through automated processes. They work with leaders in their fields and among other things they are a partner of Tabidoo. In the search for an ideal system that would also correspond with the long-term plans of the STAN movement, it was clear. The path was blue.

When the right connection is missing

Until recently, the Mayors and Independents used a tailor-made system created by an external agency. And while the environment was not exactly modern and intuitive, it worked. But it lacked a key feature – the ability to connect and communicate with other systems. When looking for a suitable tool to cover specific requirements, the main issue was price. Other solutions were expensive and slow, and the environment did not always match the needs.

As the organization grows and has political campaigns and new programs ahead of it, effective collaborative work across counties, cities and regions of the country is more than necessary. And so it was tried. Again.

It looks like Excel, but it’s not Excel. It’s better!

Two years ago, Tabidoo had already passed through the hands of the movement. However, due to the lack of sending emails, it didn’t make it past the imaginary first round. Tabidoo however, it evolves over time and is constantly improving, so the second date passed. Now there was no functionality that could not be solved in Tabidoo.

The Czech platform also appealed because of its pricing policy (you don’t pay per user, but per license) and its security. The decision was also due to the following advantages:

  • Czech application with Czech support.
  • Looks like Excel, but it’s not Excel (which made the whole adaptation easier).
  • Possibility to send emails with sender selection (currently there are over 25 different senders).
  • Ability to set up different dials by county, district and city.

And last but not least, the API, i.e. the ability to connect to many different applications, which can then be controlled directly from Tabidoo.

Tabidoo as the brain that controls

Currently Tabidoo is the brain that controls all communication (whether internal through its connection to Google Workspace, or external through its connection to Ecomail). With the ability to grant permissions to a specific application or item correctly, no one sees what they are not supposed to see. Especially for email communication, it was crucial that no one can see the emails of others.

The solution built on Tabidoo is unique mainly because of the form of the e-mail distribution. In addition to the ability to send emails directly from Tabidoo and the ability to select a sender from a list of more than 25 items, the sender is a so-called variable item. In practice, therefore, it is up to the authorised person, for example the spokesperson or the secretary, whether to send the e-mail from his or her own account or from the e-mail of the person who authorised him or her.

In addition, the organisation’s solution can be likened to a classic CRM. Individual persons, individual members, also supporters or volunteers are recorded. In the individual applications, specific dials are linked to specific regions, districts and cities. They operate on their own domain, which was one of the reasons why Tabidoo won the tender.
